Dearest Friends,
With hearts full of sorrow, we received the sad news of the passing of your beloved wife and mother, our dear friend Hoda Tahzib. Without a doubt, the spiritual influence of the forces brought about by her tireless service to the Cause and her shining example will continue to be a source of inspiration and many blessings for her family and communities.
Today, she has ascended to the summit of reunion with the Beloved of our hearts, and we remember with deep love her joy, her selfless service, and her steadfastness in the Covenant.
We pray to the Blessed Beauty to bless her family and friends, and especially her beloved son, that they may be granted strength and tranquility during this difficult time, as she has been released from this sorrow-filled refuge and has turned her face toward the Kingdom, reunited with her beloved mother, finding the comfort of our hearts in that realm.
We share below a few excerpts from the Sacred Writings that bring peace to our hearts:
“To consider that after the death of the body the spirit perishes is like imagining that a bird in a cage will be destroyed if the cage is broken, even though the bird has nothing to fear from the destruction of the cage. Our body is like the cage, and the spirit is like the bird… If the cage becomes broken, the bird will continue to exist. Its feelings will be even more powerful, its perceptions greater, and its happiness increased.”
“Why should you be sad or grieved? This separation is only temporary; this distance and sorrow last but a few days. You will find him in the Kingdom of God and attain eternal reunion. Physical companionship is but for a time, but spiritual reunion is eternal. Whenever you remember the everlasting union that never ends, your heart will be comforted and filled with joy.”
“O my God! O Thou Forgiver of sins, Bestower of gifts, Dispeller of afflictions! Verily, I beseech Thee to forgive the sins of such as have abandoned the physical garment and have ascended to the spiritual world. O my Lord! Purify them from trespasses, dispel their sorrows, and change their darkness into light. Cause them to enter the Garden of Happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water, and grant that they may behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount.”
