Our story was very emotional. When you arrived in Girona, we felt as if a fresh, exciting, and loving breeze had come. You began to regenerate the Girona community by opening the Ruhi book study circles. We studied books 2, 4, and 5 (which we didn’t finish because the practice parts were still pending). One day, while we were studying at your house, it was my 60th birthday, and she gifted me a beautiful painting of two parakeets —a true wonder. That was Hoda: so spontaneous and generous.
Sometimes we studied at Blanca’s house, and we celebrated birthdays there too. One day, there were three cakes 😂 —it was Mertxe’s, Juan’s, and someone else’s birthday… I can’t remember whose.
We had so much fun and felt the immense love that surrounds us when we are in harmony, living a Bahá’í life, studying and preparing ourselves to serve.
Later, the news of Drazen’s pregnancy was wonderful —feeling the happiness she radiated… In fact, both of you were pure joy.
The party we had at Neda’s house was wonderful: everyone brought something —gifts, cakes, games. It was a fun and very happy celebration.
The art and magic that surrounded Hoda made the happiness we felt possible, and you, Marcos, truly were her complement to make it all happen.
When you moved to Blanes, we always wished to come and visit. We missed you, and we came twice to walk with Drazen by the beach. What a joy it was to meet your precious son!
Seven years ago, when our daughter Anna was getting married, you came to Banyoles so that Hoda could design some invitation cards. It was wonderful to have you at our home.
When we visited your home before Christmas, once again I felt the magic and Hoda’s powerful spirit. She was so… radiant, with that spiritual strength that brings happiness, and we left renewed and full of energy.
