Logotipo

This logo was created by Hoda in early June 2016. It was intended for her sister’s women’s accessories shop, which was about to open in the town of Pineda de Mar.

Hoda’s creativity led her, together with her sister, to come up with a name that combined various meaningful elements: the name of the town, Pineda (related to pine groves), and her sister’s name, Neda. This gave birth to Pi by Neda:

  • Pi, which means “pine” in Catalan, evoking the natural surroundings of the place;
  • π (pi), the Greek letter representing the mathematical constant — the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter — an infinite value beginning with the numbers 3.14159.

Inspired by this concept, Hoda drew a logo that visually combined the π symbol and a pine tree. This is how the original design came to life, shown in the first image, hand-drawn by Hoda.

The second image displays the same logo in its digitized version, while the third shows an updated version of the design. The remaining photos are of the shop itself.
